Test Results: AV Spaniel Working Tests at Burghley

23/05/2022

On 21st May 2022, we held our A/V Spaniel Working Tests at Burghley Estate, by kind invitation of Mr M. Pope. He worked tirelessly on the day to ensure we had a safe test site, after we were met by JCBs and a team of tree fellers at 7.30am on the day! We were treated to lush woodland, perfect weather, and a great group of competitors.

Thanks must go to our judges Alan Hopkins-Young & Paul Seaman for giving up their time to come and judge for us, we really appreciate the time you give back to the sport. Thanks also to our amazing cohort of helpers: Fiona, Alison, Thomas, Hannah, Jerry, Sarah and Joey. And finally, huge thanks to our generous sponsor Dog & Field who continue to support our spaniel events.

Our results were as follows:

1st Donna Kilford with Syncerus Salubrious
2nd Suzi Stephens with Riveroll Rummy
3rd Sue Musselwhite with Musspring Hazelnut
4th Godfrey Lowe with Lainddraig God's Gift for Questeleet

Our Novice Dog & Handler award was presented to the partnership that the judges believed showed promise for the future, and that went to Stephen Chisholm with Handsome Hamish.
